Magic Math Adventure Series
Morgan and the Forty Thieves
“Morgan and the Forty Thieves: A Magic Math Adventure is an original and captivating adventure story that has problem-solving and mathematical concepts woven into the narrative. An unreservedly recommended addition to family, elementary school, and community library collections for young readers. Also very highly recommended is Morgan and the Monster of the Deep, the second book in the series.”

“Since we had so much fun with the first Morgan book, we were very excited to read this book! My second-grade class has really enjoyed the problem-solving and interactive elements of this series. As a teacher, I love the way that this book integrates reading and math standards in such an engaging way. We used this book as a read-aloud. Every time we got to a challenge in the book, I would pause the book and students would work in groups to solve the challenge. The students loved the way they needed to figure things out together, and it really helped to deepen their understanding. My whole class loved this book so much! I loved the critical thinking and collaborative learning that was happening, while students were focused on reading and specific math skills. It was a definite win-win for us!”.
